Position : HR Generalist – Maternity cover
Area : Fourways, JHB
Description : We are looking for a HR Generalist on a 6 months fixed term contract (from 1 October 2019 until end March 2020) as a maternity cover.
Main duties and responsibilities : · Support HR and Office Admin
· Management of recruitment / exit process
· Coordination of employee records
· Coordination of leave
· Coordination of compensation and benefits
· Manage employee relations
Minimum Requirements : · A national diploma in Human Resources
· At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment with exposure to recruitment, payroll, employee relations and human resources administration.
· Experience in Sage People 300
Skills and Knowledge : · Good communication skills
· Good presentation skills
· Good organizing and planning skills
· Project management skills
· Knowledge of and experience in developing and executing policies, systems and procedures
· Sound knowledge of human resources policies and practices
· Knowledge of payroll management
Personal qualities : · Detail orientated and accurate
· Diplomatic and able to use own discretion
· Problem solver
· Able to prioritize and make decisions
· Able to work under pressure and deal with crisis situations
· Results orientated
