Homeware Sales Consultant

Area:
Brooklyn, Pretoria

Position available from:
Immediately

Descriptions:
We have a full time Homeware Sales Consultant position available in our Pretoria showroom.

Main purpose of the job:
The main purpose of the position is to promote and sell retail products to customers according to procedures and the branding standards and guidelines.

Requirements:
• Grade 12 qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• At least 3 years sales experience in a retail environment
• Customer service orientated
• Sales driven
• Self-motivated
• General business acumen
• Knowledge of homeware advantageous

Main duties:
• Building productive relationships with customers
• Sales
• Maintaining retail showroom standards
• Managing orders of additional products for the showroom
• Supporting the sales consultants
• Supporting the payment process

Position:
External Sales Consultant

Area:
Fourways, JHB and North West Vaal Area

Position available from:
Immediately

Descriptions:
Full time Sales Consultant based on the road, affiliated to Hertex showroom in Fourways.

Required to work every second Saturday

Main purpose of the job:
Promotes and sells Hertex merchandise, sample books and partnership programmes to customers in the allocated area and develops new business in order to meet sales targets.

Requirements:
• National Senior Certificate
• Tertiary Certificate / Diploma in Sales & Marketing is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in an External sales environment
• Exposure to an interior Design / Décor environment is an advantage
• Must have valid drivers licence and own, reliable transport

Ideal candidate:
• Sales driven with proven track record
• Strong interest in Design & Décor
• Outgoing, dynamic and driven
• Highly motivated, loyal and committed
• Able to work independently
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Main duties:
• Visit customers according to contact plan, customer needs identified and advice provided on the appropriate selection, price and care of products
• Excellent product knowledge demonstrated, samples and product ranges demonstrated, replacement fabrics offered on discontinued ranges or out of stock items
• Special import ranges and additional products promoted and sold
• Sample books updated and discontinued ranges removed, new products, specials and promotions highlighted
• Sample books and partnership programmes sold
• Orders taken and referred to Sales Administrators
• Sales leads identified and contact made, client base increased and customer accounts opened according to policy
• Regular feedback on queries and delivery dates provided, issues and queries dealt with promptly and courteously, complaints managed and flagged with area manager
• Payment queries resolved with Finance, payments followed up
• Manage back order list

Main purpose of the job:
Promotes and sells retail products to customers according to procedures and the branding standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years sales experience in a retail environment
• Management and/or stock management experience required
• Interior Décor / Design / Homeware experience (advantageous)

• Strong admin skills

Main duties:
• Meet showroom sales targets and deliver customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
• Maintain showroom operations and image

Customer Liaison

Area:
Durban Showroom

Position available from:

Descriptions:
We are looking for a well-spoken, confident Customer Liaison to support the Sales team.

Required to work ever second Saturday.

Main purpose of the job:
The Customer Liaison is responsible for customer service complaints, inquiries and support for sales managers.

Requirements:
• National Senior Certificate
• Tertiary qualification advantages
• 6 years’ experience in customer service
• Computer literate, MS Office (Advance Excel)
• Knowledge of textiles/fabric industry advantages

Ideal candidate:
• Able to work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving ability
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Planning & organising skills
• Highly motivated, loyal and committed
• Strong customer service

Main duties:
• Complaints processed and responded to in line with guidelines and policies
• Weekly import and additional product figures collated and reported to managers
• Stock checks, price checks (retail vs. wholesale) and reservation requests responded to accurately on the same day
• Written customer communications typed up, filed and distributed
• Feedback on queries and delivery dates is provided
• Payment followed up; queries resolved with Finance
• Account queries resolved before sale is processed
• Assist with product information, price queries & replacements
• Handling of claims & credits, back orders
• Ability to multitask, prioritize & manage time effectively
• Support for sales managers
• Meetings set up, venue/catering booked in accordance to budget allocation, documentation, meeting packs, reports and presentations available in advance, minutes of meetings recorded and circulated, post meeting actions completed and communication sent within agreed timeframes
